Until Jen can walk again, a benefit page for Jen Marlatt.

Jennifer Marlatt, a very dear friend of mine has recently been involved in a tragic accident.
She was struck by a car in the North bound lane of High Street on October 6th after the OSU game and Gallery Hop.

Unfortunately the young woman that hit her did not have the heart to stop and left her laying in on coming traffic unable to get up.
On top of the bruises and cuts you would expect a car to leave when it strikes someone hard enough to break pieces off of the vehicle,  her right foot was crushed.

This fracture was quite severe and required a long surgery that placed several pins into the bones they could save, and forced other bones to be removed.

The biggest downside to this is that Jen will be unable to put any weight on her foot for at least 12 weeks.
So she is not only in great pain but unable to walk for that time frame.
This means she will have little to no form of income until 2008!

Not to mention if they are unable to prosecute the girl that left her in all this pain or the girl has no insurance, Jen will also have to cover her own medical bills and or legal prosecutor fees.  Even with insurance it is unlikely the coverage will be enough to full fill all of Jen's needs.
Jen is a truly remarkable girl with a smile and personality that leave an impact on almost everyone she encounters.
She is the type of person who is always there for a friend in need no matter how small or large the need.
I believe there are many who share my feelings for Jen and would also like a chance to show her how much she means to them.

In an effort to show my grattitude and respect for her amazing character I have attached a paypal link for an account I opened strictly for donations to Jen. I hope this makes it simple for anyone else that may also wish to show their support for in this way as well.

100% of what you give will go to Jen.

She will have sole access to the account.
This link will stay open until she is back on her feet and able to walk and/or work again.
So give what you can today, be it $1 or $100, and come back anytime she is in your thoughts and donate again.

Thank you all for supporting someone who truly deserves it!

GET WELL SOON JEN
